Alpine A290 Première Edition Beta. Tak nazywa się limitowana edycja elektrycznego hot-hatcha Alpine. Stworzona aby uczcić rozpoczęcie produkcji modelu, ma wszelkie zadatki by w przyszłości być cenionym klasykiem.
Większość hot-hatchy staje się później poszukiwanymi klasykami. W przypadku Alpine A290 taki los jest prawie pewny, bo bazuje on na nowym, elektrycznym Renault 5. Nagradzanym i ciepło przyjętym współczesnym wcieleniu europejskiej legendy. Takie geny i fakt bycia pierwszym elektrycznym modelem firmy Alpine, praktycznie robią z A290 legendę za życia. Limitowana wersja na inaugurację produkcji już teraz jawi się więc jako łakomy kąsek kolekcjonerów z przyszłości.
Alpine wykorzystało serię Première Edition już w modelu A110 z 2017 roku. W modelu A290 powtarza ten pomysł. Première Edition limitowana jest do 1955 egzemplarzy, aby podkreślić rok założenia firmy. Co ciekawe, można ją zamówić w czterech wersjach; Premiere Edition w kolorze czarnym Deep Black, La Bleue w kolorze niebieskim Alpine Vision, La Grise w kolorze szarym Tornado Mat oraz Beta w kolorze białym Nival.
Limitowana seria powstała na bazie topowej wersji GTS, mamy więc do czynienia z napędem o mocy 220 KM. Pozwala to na przyspieszenie do 100 km/h w 6,4s i prędkość maksymalną wynoszącą 170 km/h. Tak jak w “zwykłym” A290, w Première Edition kierowca ma do dyspozycji cała masę najnowocześniejszej technologii. W jej skład wchodzi 26 zaawansowanych systemów wspomagających i poprawiających bezpieczeństwo, cztery osobne tryby jazdy (Save, Normal, Sport, Personal), cztery poziomy odzyskiwania energii, funkcja Overtake (nagły przyrost mocy włączany przyciskiem inspirowanym bolidami F1) oraz możliwość wyboru dźwięku silnika Alpine Drive Sound. Dostępna jest też aplikacja Alpine Telemetrics, pozwalająca nie tylko zoptymalizować naszą jazdę Alpine, ale również propnująca różnego rodzaju wyzwania i próby, aby zwiększyć radość z posiadania samochodu.
Z zewnątrz, największym wyróżnikiem Alpine A290 Première Edition są fantazyjne naklejki na nadwoziu. W środku z kolei zmian praktycznie nie ma, każdy gzemplarz posiada jednak numerowaną tabliczkę. Różnice widać też w cenie, egzemplarze z limitowanej edycji są o kilka tysięcy euro droższe w porównaniu do innych wersji.
O miniaturze – Alpine A290 Première Edition Beta
Model Alpine A290 Première Edition Beta dołączył do mojej kolekcji krótko po wprowadzeniu do sprzedaży, pod koniec zeszłego roku. Jak można się spodziewać, miniaturkę wykonał Norev. Modelik, tak samo jak prawdziwy samochód, zdaje się krzyczeć “patrz na mnie!”. Tu zdecydowanie nie ma umiaru. Kolorowe malowanie, kształt felg i tzw. “body kit” rzucają się w oczy. Panuje tu lekki przesyt wizualny, ale z drugiej strony pomaga on zatuszować pewne mankamenty modelu.
Główne bolączki modelu to oczywiście plastikowe koła (temat znany kolekcjonerom od lat w modelach Noreva), brak odwzorowania lusterka wstecznego i tarcz hamulcowych oraz zupełnie czarne wnętrze. Ten ostatni mankament poprawiłem sam – pomalowałem wnętrze zgodnie z oryginałem.
Jeśli chodzi o pozytywy, to na pewno zalicza się do nich powłoka lakiernicza i ogólny wygląd modelu. Cieszą też osobne lusterka boczne – przez lata spory problem w modelach Noreva, który najwyraźniej w końcu został rozwiązany.

Alpine A290 Première Edition Beta – that’s the name of the limited edition of Alpine’s electric hot hatch. Created to celebrate the start of the model’s production, it certainly has all it takes to become a future classic.
Most hot hatches eventually become sought-after classics. In the case of the Alpine A290, such a fate is almost certain, as it’s based on the new electric Renault 5. An award-winning and warmly received modern incarnation of a European legend. Given such heritage and the distinction of being Alpine’s first electric model, the A290 is practically a living legend. Moreover, the limited edition marking the production launch is already shaping up to be a tasty find for future collectors.
Alpine previously used the Première Edition series in the A110 model back in 2017. Now, it’s repeating that idea with the A290. The Première Edition is limited to 1,955 units, highlighting the year the company was founded. Interestingly, it can be ordered in four different versions: Première Edition in Deep Black, La Bleue in Alpine Vision Blue, La Grise in Tornado Matte Grey and Beta in Nival White.
The limited series is based on the top-spec GTS version, meaning it comes with a 220 hp electric powertrain. As a result, the A290 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 170 km/h. Just like the “regular” A290, the Première Edition is packed full of cutting-edge technology. This includes 26 advanced driver assistance and safety systems, four driving modes: (Save, Normal, Sport, and Personal), four levels of regenerative braking, overtake function (a sudden power boost activated by a button inspired by F1 race cars) as well as Alpine Drive Sound – a selectable synthetic engine sound. Additionally, the Alpine Telemetrics app is available. It allows drivers not only to optimize their driving performance, but also to take on various challenges and trials to make the experience as fun as possible.
On the outside, the most distinctive feature of the Alpine A290 Première Edition is a set of eye-catching decals. Inside, the changes are minimal — though each model comes with a numbered plaque. There’s also a noticeable price difference: models from the limited edition are several thousand euros more expensive compared to the standard versions.
About the miniature – Alpine A290 Première Edition Beta
The model of Alpine A290 Première Edition Beta joined my collection shortly after it was released at the end of last year. As you’d expect, the miniature was made by Norev. Just like the real car, the model seems to shout “look at me!”. Subtlety is definitely not part of the design language here. The vivid paintwork, bold wheel design and aggressive body kit instantly draw your attention. There’s a certain visual overkill here, but on the other hand, that actually helps to mask some of the model’s flaws.
The model’s main shortcomings are of course, the plastic wheels (long-standing gripe among collectors when it comes to Norev models), the lack of a rearview mirror and brake disc detailing. There’s also the completely black interior.
I addressed that last issue myself — I painted the interior to match the original, thus making it more real-life like.
As for the positives, the paint finish and the overall appearance of the model definitely stand out. It’s also nice to see separately molded wing mirrors – an issue in Norev models for many years, which the company seems to have fixed.
