Romeo 156 was introduced at the 1997 Frankfurt Motor Show. It had two
facelifts, in 2002 and 2003. In 2004 the 156 Crosswagon was presented. The
Crosswagon version was made to look more like all-terrain vehicle; door sill
aluminium protection, front and rear bumpers were equipped with aluminium
inserts. Only one diesel engine was used to power this model, the 1.9 JTD
150hp.

Alfę Romeo 156 zaprezentowano na salonie samochodowym we Frankfurcie w 1997 r. Auto przeszło dwie modyfikacje, w 2002 r. i w 2003 r. W 2004 r. zaprezentowano 156 Crosswagon. Wersja ta była terenową odmianą “zwykłej” 156, i charakteryzowała się dodatkowymi aluminiowymi listwami ochronnymi na drzwiach, oraz aluminiowymi wstawkami na przednim i tylnym zderzaku. W ofercie był tylko jeden silnik diesla, 1.9 JTD o mocy 150KM.
