Mazda CX-50 to bardzo ciekawa propozycja w klasie SUV. Ma wyrazisty wygląd, niezłe możliwości terenowe i charakter klasy premium. Niestety, oferowana jest tylko w Ameryce Północnej i Chinach.
Model CX-50 po raz pierwszy pokazano w listopadzie 2021 roku podczas salonu samochodowego w Los Angeles. Miejsce debiutu nieprzypadkowe, bo samochód stworzono głównie z myślą o rynku amerykańskim i tam jest też produkowany. Konkretnie w nowej, wspólnej fabryce Mazdy i Toyoty w Huntsville w stanie Alabama. Na potrzeby chińskiego rynku, model montowany jest również w fabryce Changan Mazda w Nanjing.
Samochód zapoczątkował nową linię SUV-ów Mazdy, do której należą również modele CX-60 i CX-80. Choć w gamie Mazdy model CX-50 pozycjonowany jest nad CX-5, dzieli platformę z mniejszymi modelami; 3 oraz CX-30. Jak wszystkie nowe Mazdy, CX-50 ma muskularną sylwetkę i charakterystyczny duży grill. Na tle innych SUV-ów marki, model wyróżnia się jednak swoimi proporcjami. Jest znacznie niższy i szerszy oraz posiada większy prześwit.
Mazda postarała się, aby CX-50 dawała sobie radę w lekkim terenie lepiej niż większość współczesnych SUVów. Poza większym prześwitem, w standardzie jest system napędu na cztery koła i-Activ oraz system Mi-Drive (Mazda Intelligent Drive Select), pozwalający dobrać tryb jazdy do aktualnych warunków.
Samochód napędzany jest czterocylindrowym benzynowym silnikiem 2.5 SkyActiv-G w trzech odmianach. Wolnossącej, 190-konnej oraz turbodoładowanej 230- lub 256-konnej. Dostępna jest też odmiana hybrydowa z silnikiem 2.5, korzystająca z systemu hybrydowego Toyoty.
O miniaturze – Mazda CX-50
Mazda CX-50 to kolejny metalowy model diecast w mojej kolekcji pochodzący z rynku chińskiego. Tak jak w przypadku przedstawianego wcześniej Captura oraz Corolli, modelik pochodzi z serii dealerskiej i jego producent jest niestety nieznany.
Modelik jest dobrze wykonany. Jest tutaj dużo detali a lakier jest nieskazitelny i ma idealną grubość pigmentu. Bardzo podoba mi się też sam kolor (oficjalna nazwa Zircon Sand Metallic), który jest elegancki i nietypowy. Szkoda, że producent zdecydował się na czarne wnętrze, bo brązowe (dostępne w prawdziwym samochodzie), pięknie korespondowałoby z lakierem.
Ostatnią rzeczą wartą wyróżnienia są koła. Są świetnie odwzorowane, razem z tarczami i klockami! Producent ewidentnie bardzo się tutaj postarał.

The Mazda CX-50 is a very interesting offering in the SUV segment. It’s got distinctive looks, decent off-road abilities and a premium feel. Unfortunately, it’s only available in North America and China.
The CX-50 was first shown in November 2021 during the Los Angeles car show. The place for its debut was no accident, as the car was created mainly with the American market in mind and that’s where it’s also produced. Specifically, in the new Mazda and Toyota joint venture plant in Huntsville, Alabama. For the Chinese market, the model is also assembled in the Changan Mazda factory in Nanjing.
The car started a new line of Mazda SUVs, which also features the CX-60 and CX-80 models. Although the CX-50 is positioned above th CX-5 in Mazda’s line-up, it shares the platform with smaller models; the 3 and the CX-30. Like all new Mazdas, the CX-50 has a muscular silhouette and a distinctive large grille. However, compared to the brand’s other SUVs, it stands out with its proportions. It’s much lower and wider and also has a larger road clearance.
Mazda did its best, for the CX-50 to have better mild off-road abilities than most modern SUVs. Apart from a larger road clearance, it’s fitted with i-Activ all-wheel drive technology and Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) as standard.
The car is powered by the four-cylinder, 2.5-litre SkyActiv-G petrol engine in three variants. A naturally-aspirated 190 hp and a turbocharged that outputs 230 or 256 hp. A hybrid model is also available, using a 2.5-litre engine and the Toyota Hybrid System.
About the miniature – Mazda CX-50
The Mazda CX-50 is another diecast model in my collection coming from the Chinese market. Just like with the Captur and Corolla presented before, the model comes from a dealership series and its manufacturer is sadly unknown.
The model car is done well. There is a lot of detail here, while the paintwork is flawless and the pigment size is ideal. I also really like the colour itself (official name is Zircon Sand Metallic) which is elegant and unusual. It’s a shame the manufacturer decided on a black interior, because a brown one (available on the real car), would correspond beautifully with the paintwork.
The last thing worth mentioning are the wheels. They are brilliantly replicated and you can even see the separate brake discs and pads! The manufacturer certainly put a lot of effort here.
